Saturday January 15th

I had a mixed day today. Walked into the City centre just for my coffee and then on to the match at Home Park where Argyle were at home to Oldham. The match was good and bad in places. To be honest Argyle were on top of things for a good spell and came close a couple of times with one strike hitting the crossbar and then going into the away crowd. Unfortunately when half time came the team left their spirit in the dressing room. Oldham scored twice in the second half and although there were a number of outrageous decisions by the ref and his assistants, (dressed in bright pink tops!) there never looked like a goal would come from anyone from Argyle. The result leaves Argyle in 17th spot in the table and although perilously close to the relegation spots, just a couple of good results would see them rise in to the Play-Off spots so all is not lost just yet. If the club can solve it's money problems and the players more settled then things could dramatically alter for the team and fans!

In the Premier League Arsenal were away to the dishevelled West Ham. This morning there was talk of their manager Avram Grant being replaced by Martin O'Neill and that must have unsettled the already woeful Hammers. With the final score West Ham 0 - 3 Arsenal it must mean worse news for the East London side and for Grant himself although no official news has come yet!

Facebook's problems yesterday seem to have resolved themselves and things look like they are back to normal. Wait back to normal on Facebook usually means trouble at some point.

The National Lottery this evening brought a Rollover Jackpot of over £6 million and that was not won so that means a Double Rollover on Wednesday so extra lines for me on Wednesday. Unusually I did the Thunderball today and as it happens I won £10 so not bad really!
