Friday April 29th

So the big day has come and gone. William and Kate are finally married and the whole of Britain came to a standstill. It must have been some event as even Marks and Spencer shut their doors at lunchtime! If you are a Facebook user you could not escape it was the day of the Royal Wedding anyway as many people were giving minute by minute updates as their statuses. Now I am a proud Englishman don't get me wrong. AND I wish the couple all the best and every happiness, but there is a limit to what you can take in, and for me people watching things on TV and then giving running commentaries to all their friends as if they have no access to the TV is one of the things I get peeved about. If you are that interested in it you should not be bothering with Facebook while it is on! After all with billions of other people watching the same thing there is no point relaying updates every minute as your friends were probably watching it anyway and if they weren't they would not want your updates pissing them off all the time. Lecture over.

I spent the first part of the morning watching TV and then thought that if everyone else was doing the same I could go shopping and miss all the queues. As it turned up most of the shops were fairly empty but there were a few 100 people around the giant screen watching the event unveil itself. Cheers went up as the couple walked on to the balcony at Buckingham Palace and when they kissed there was a huge roar, hand clapping and flag waving.

This evening I walked up to the Hoe where the fair is on for another week. The sunset was beautiful. Given the photos of the full moon the other week and this sunset tonight I think the only thing I have left to get now is a really nice sunrise. Two things prevent this, the most important point being that I am never up in time for a sunrise, although I did attempt it the other week just to be let down by a cloudy sky.

Tonight there was a firework display to celebrate the wedding so I took my camera along to take some photos. Just before the fireworks started my attention was taken by a small crowd trying to light a number of sky lanterns. Having tried on the wind swept Hoe before I did not think they would have much luck. Sure enough despite getting three lanterns lit none of them actually made it up in the air. One hit a fence and burst into flames, one gained a little height but then headed in my direction just inches from the ground and promptly skipped over a wall and headed straight for the sea, never to be seen again. I think by then the group gave up and extinguished the last one they had lit and put the other unlit ones back in their bags!

To finish off the evening I walked around the Barbican and treated myself to a Jasperizer!! 

Thursday April 28th

Another setback for the city of Plymouth today as Plymouth City Airport announces that it is closing. For many it comes as no big surprise. For some of us that have used it, again it comes as no big shock. The writing has been on the wall for quite some time to be honest. With Air Southwest having financial problems and closing certain flight destinations, in particular the two London routes to Gatwick and London City Airport. It now means that Newquay or Exeter will be the closest airports but what that means for Air Southwest is a different question.

Wednesday April 27th

Well even more evidence that the world is fucked up! And I cannot even blame the twats at crapcass for this! It appears that it is now a criminal offence to sing Kung Fu Fighting in public, well on the Isle Of Wight anyway! FFS some people really need to get a sense of humour injection!

Maybe we should stop watching Father Ted as it might offend priests or Irish people in general. Stop watching Eastenders as it offends Cockneys! Heaven forbid we should carry on watching Emmerdale as that might offend Farmers! Can't sing "I Am A Cider Drinker" anymore as that may offend alcoholics or people from the West Country! And I guess "Gypsies Tramps And Thieves" is now off the play-list although that could so easily be dedicated to a few members of staff at crapcass! 

You know what........FUCK IT! I am putting it on here anyway now!

Following on from the news regarding my ex wife's conversation with my eldest daughter's godmother a few days ago I wonder if she is thinking of the damage her solicitors have done to the children this morning. Not only do they not have Easter eggs from daddy but today is Parental Alienation Awareness Day!

Parental alienation, or Hostile Aggressive Parenting, can be mild and temporary or extreme and ongoing. Most researchers believe that any alienation of a child against a parent is harmful to the child's emotional and mental health. Extreme, obsessive, and ongoing Parental Alienation can cause terrible psychological damage to children extending well into adulthood.

Parental Alienation vs. Parental Alienation Syndrome
Parental Alienation focuses on the parents behavior as opposed to the alienated children's conditions, which is termed Parental Alienation Syndrome.

Richard Gardner defined Parental Alienation Syndrome as 'a disturbance in which children are preoccupied with deprecation and criticism of a parent-denigration that is unjustified and/or exaggerated.'

Parental Alienation is damaging to children, whether or not they reject a parent. It's important to recognize and stop the harmful behaviors of the adults before any 'symptoms' develop in the child, and before the behavior escalates to Parental Abduction or Parental Homocide.

And the good news continues for Argyle. A superb 1-0 win at home to MK Dons means that the fight to survive goes on. Standing ovation at the end and I have to say although the crowd was about average for the season, there were not many early leavers as has been the habit of a few. In fact I could only see a hand-full of fans leaving before the full time whistle was blown. Most of the team returned the ovation and again a number of them walked over to the crowd. Today Rory Fallon came over to give his shirt to a supporter. The pride and the passion still very much evident at Home Park. 

This evening after the match and then having something to eat, as it was a glorious evening I went up to the Hoe for another walk. Trying to get photos of the sunset around the new visitor attraction we have that is a smaller version of the London Eye! It is supposed to be here for six months. After walking up to the Hoe I then made my way to Central Park and lit my two lanterns for Parental Alienation Awareness Day! 

Just before my mother went to bed she came into to ask if I could do a quiz relating to the upcoming Royal Wedding for her meeting..............................TOMORROW! So for the past hour I have been scrolling through various sites trying to find various questions relating to Royal Weddings. Deep joy! 

Sunday April 24th

And a very Happy Easter to you all! So what has been happening for the past week that I have been out of contact with the world? Well Arsenal's hopes of winning the Premiership title have all but evaporated following two rather poor results. First the 3-3 draw against fellow Londoners Spurs and then the disastrous 2-1 loss away to Bolton. As far as Plymouth Argyle go they had a good result against Dagenham and Redbridge which took them off the bottom of the division and we look forward to a great game on Easter Monday at home to MK Dons.

My eldest daughter's Godmother was in West Hoe Park a few days ago and amazingly she saw my two daughters and their half brother and my ex-wife. The ex went over to her and said....

"I feel so sorry for the children and their nanna as they are suffering through all this and it is NONE of their faults! I feel so upset that the solicitors have made such a big mess of the whole saga!" 

Again from her own mouth she (using terms associated with Easter) has crucified her own legal team! I just wish she would actually take the bull by the horns and tell them exactly what she wanted for the children. After all I was under the impression that the solicitor worked for you and not the other way around! Or is it that yet again, the lies spew from her mouth like the famous scene from the Exorcist!

So you really want to end this "saga" then put your money where your mouth is and put the needs and wants of the children in front of your sorry bunch of scumbag solicitors and that evil twat at crapcass! you know where I am if you really mean what you keep telling everyone outside of the corrupt court system!

PUT UP OR SHUT UP! 

Monday April 18th

I rarely watch the soaps here. The last time I saw any was prior to Christmas just before the storyline regarding the infant death and consequential stupid baby-swapping story! Now apparently on ITV's Coronation Street they are about to or already have started to tackle the subject of Parental Alienation! Let's hope those closer to my own case who do watch this programme will have a real crisis of conscience and realise the real damage they are doing to the children above all others! Doubt it somehow though! Need to have a conscience in the first place and we all know someone does not possess a bit of it!

Sunday April 17th

I know last month people were going mad about a "Supermoon!" In Plymouth I could not see what the fuss was all about anyway due to the cloud cover. However tonight is a different matter completely. I cannot remember seeing the moon this big before. Just to show what the camera can do I was able to get a few close up photos of the moon and it was as if I could reach out and touch it myself. 

The teams in the FA Cup Final have been decided by the result of the second semi final which was played earlier today. Bolton were beaten by Stoke very comfortably 0-5. A result which prompted the Bolton captain Kevin Davies to post an apology on Twitter to the Bolton fans. So in May Manchester City will take on Stoke in the FA Cup Final at Wembley. 

In the Premier League, Arsenal's title hopes took a little dent when they could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool. The match looked like going to a 0-0 draw until deep into injury time Van Persie scored from the penalty spot and looked to have given Arsenal the three points they were looking for. Unfortunately "TWELVE MINUTES" into injury time Liverpool were also given a penalty and Kuyt was able to bring the sides level. Maybe the referee's watch stopped as nobody else quite knew how there was 12 minutes injury time! There was an injury to a Liverpool player however, it did not appear that he needed as much as 12 minutes medical attention!
