3 Mobile

Have you ever had one of those weeks when everyone you have contact with has the potential to be TWAT of THE WEEK? Well this week has been just like that! Last year I had trouble with my mobile phone which is on a 3 contract. For months the screen kept freezing and I could not do anything with it. Eventually I was advised (after numerous emails and phone calls and visits to the local 3 store) to take my phone in for repair as it would only take a week for me to get it back in full working order. However, to hand in my phone and get another one whilst mine was being fixed I had to pay a £30 deposit. I gave in and paid the deposit as I was advised I would get it back in a week when my own phone was back! ONE MONTH LATER I had accumulated a number of bank charges as I had gone overdrawn due to two bills not being paid both of which came to the total of £30! Bit of a coincidence!

Whilst my phone was in for repairs I was handed a phone that was nowhere near the standard that I was paying for and in fact despite it being called a "skype" phone the skype function on it no longer worked, nor did much else! So I was paying my usual contract bill for two months without using any of the facilities I had signed up to. Not forgetting that for almost five months before I had a phone that did not work properly anyway so in total of about half of last year I was paying for a contract phone for which I was not able to use the full services I paid for!

Here we are again and over the past few days my phone has started to malfunction AGAIN! As I type here all I can actually guarantee doing on my phone is text and call. Nothing else is stable. So where do we go from here? I have emailed 3 and was quite amused when I had a response from them telling me that they had tried to call me on my phone but could not get through! Funny as the phone was sitting right next to me at the time! So I replied to their email and have given them 2 days to offer me a working phone similar or better to my original phone, otherwise I would consider this as a breach of contract on their part!

So let's see what happens in the next couple of days! However until then 3 get their TWAT OF THE WEEK AWARD!

Business Letters!

How annoying is it when you have a letter delivered to your door informing you that a company has "written" to you before and that they are unhappy that you have not written back! Well to be honest I don't write many letters and most of my banking and other official business is done over the internet. BUT! Do you know what pisses me off more than these letters? It is the fact that more often than not these letters which were supposedly "written" previously never actually made it to my letterbox! It is like someone phoning you and before the answer machine kicks in they ring off and then when you talk at a time later the person asks why you didn't call them back?

Yes Welcome Finance I am talking about you!

What is a bit of a spooky coincidence is the fact that just a day before I had a letter from a company informing me that as a customer of Welcome Finance I am asked to contact them as they believe I have been overcharged for a loan taken out a while ago (actually while I was still married!)

I have replied to both companies obviously and I now wonder which one will contact me again first!!

So the nominations for TWAT of the week lately have been quite different, especially as last year there was mainly only one nominee and recipient! Oh well, this week the TWAT of the Week award definitely goes to the person who just sent me a letter from Welcome Finance!
