Saturday April 17th

Good news of the day, Manchester United were beaten 1-0 in the FA Cup Semi-Final against Manchester City.

Bad news of the day Plymouth Argyle were beaten 2-1 by Peterbrough, despite taking the lead. The result for Argyle means they are desperately close to being relegated if they lose anymore games.

In the National Lottery it was triple rollover. Unfortunately that meant nothing to me although four people do share the £16,000,000.

Thursday April 14th

Today I wake up to the news that 11 babies everyday are stillborn! Six others die in their first 28 days of life. So nothing has really changed in 100 years and certainly not in the past 6 years! So much for progress. We can make changes to the death rate in cancers and other diseases and illnesses but we cannot help the 17 babies that die each day, some never taking their first breaths! The fact is that given the millions of £s that is being spent on finding cures for these well known diseases, a small percentage is being spent on real research into what are the causes of stillbirth or neonatal deaths. Blame it on smoking and drinking and obesity sure. Then again neither my ex-wife smoked or drunk and neither of us were obese then, Yes she may look a bit tubby now but not six years ago!
This news on BBC today started me thinking about the past 6 years. It was not until after the events of that July that I started falling out of love with her. Until then we could take on the world together. It was as the following years passed that I started to see her for what she really was. The lies and deception could have been overlooked. The gossip that while I was out at work she was seeing someone. (yeah that was one explanation I was given for why our daughter died!) The fact that even after the heartbreak of a stillbirth and the trauma after that trying to rebuild our lives, and the joy of having another healthy baby a few years later. The thought that maybe after the heartbreak that the baby would help to heal some of the unseen scars. Then the ultimate nail in the coffin of our marriage when she had an abortion.

It was at the point I knew the marriage was dead and from that moment on she became uglier by the day to me. Now when we go to court I look at her sometimes and do not see anyone who resembles the person I married and once fell in love with. Truth is when I see her now I feel lucky I do not have to live with her anymore. There was a time last year when we spent the day together on the anniversary of our daughter's death where even in the sadness of the moment a little light shone on her and for a moment I thought to myself "that is the person I knew and loved!" Then on my eldest daughter's birthday I have a photo of her and see the ugliness of the liar.

Wednesday April 13th

Just for the anonymous commenter a couple of days ago (maybe someone who backed the wrong horse on Saturday!) I am off to do an extra line for the double rollover lottery tonight. If I win I would like to thank you and make a donation to you but as you are anonymous not much I could do even if I did win! Oh well!!!

Tuesday April 12th

I keep getting anonymous comments, some are good and supportive and others quite rude and at times just out to stir trouble. I shall not post anything by anyone sending anonymous comments in the future. If you have something to say to me make sure you say it out in the open or keep your opinions to yourself. In answer to the last anonymous comment which seemed to imply that I spend a lot of money on gambling I give you an open reply.

I do not drink alcohol and I do not smoke, in fact I have never smoked in my life. I do not go out much in the evenings, and when I do it is not to pubs or clubs etc. I have money taken out of my account for child maintenance which as a father I have no objections to although it would be nice to see the children and know what the money is being spent on, as I am aware that Christmas presents from two years ago had labels removed from me and magically had my ex's name put on them! I spend the money that I get on food and clothes and my ex has left me with an outstanding debt or two which I pay off each month as she is always moving around and those who are looking for money from her don't know how to trace her. as a matter of fact she gave my parents address for one debt and they had bailiffs around a few times threatening to take their property to clear my ex-wife's debt! In fact my ex still owes my mother and me money from three years ago! Something she has admitted to in court papers and said she has no intention of paying back, despite getting the money fraudulently!

I buy a lottery ticket each Wednesday, and Saturday and I also get a Euromillions ticket on a Friday. Last Saturday was a one off event that takes places once a year and sometimes I put a few pound on a horse and sometimes I do not. This year I decided to put £10 on a horse which I was quite confident would win (and rightly so as it turns out!) That being said, I do not have to justify what I spend my money on to anyone, least of all an anonymous person, so in answer to your comment. MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS!

Just for the record! The winnings on Ballabriggs bought me a nice new camera! Not that it is any of your business either! A Nikon Coolpix L110 though if you must know! Will post some lovely new photos just for you!

Sunday April 10th

Mixed day as far as sports go today. I woke up early enough to see the Grand Prix and cheer the British drivers on. As it turned out Vettel won for the second time and Button came in second. Hamilton ended up lower down the line after being hit from behind by Alonso and having a few more pit stops than he had wished for.

As for Arsenal. It seemed like busy as usual after a few poor results lately. It was good to see Jens Lehmann making a return to the goalkeeper position after leaving the club a couple of years ago but coming back to help out with the injury problems to the other goalkeepers. Actually the plan was for him to be substitute goalie but Almunia hurt himself during the warm up and Lehmann started in goal. Two goals in the space of a couple of minutes could have spelt a landslide for Blackpool but as it turned out Arsenal only added another after Blackpool had pulled one back. Final score Blackpool 1-3 Arsenal. The score keeps Arsenal in touching distance of Manchester United and they also have a game in hand.

Saturday April 9th

There are many other Saturdays that are commonly known as SUPER SATURDAYS, but today has to go down in history for me as a REAL SUPER SATURDAY!

As I walked to Argyle today I felt optimistic but having felt this way before and at the end of the day felt completely down and depressed because of the scores etc. I did not know what I was to expect or if this feeling would stay with me throughout the day. The team came out to a standing ovation and they played their hearts out on the pitch. In fact it was hard to see that this team in green were the team that for the past few months have had to live off handouts and loans because there was no money in the pot. I cannot honestly remember too many shots on goal from the visiting team! As it was, Argyle took all three points with a very well earned and much needed 2-0 win. I have to also admit that for the first part of the second half I was a little pre-occupied with the radio in my ear as I listened to the Grand National. While Argyle were taking chances on the field I was watching the game with my finger on my earphones listening to the commentary of the big race, knowing I had a betting slip in my wallet with the name of a horse I have been talking to some people about all week! As the race was reaching it's climax so the match was heating up at Home Park. I was not only watching the game but by now mentally jumping over the fences at Aintree with my horse as it started to move ahead. Then it was Argyle 1-0.

Shortly after the first goal went in my attention was distracted by the news that BALLABRIGGS had won the Grand National! I took out my slip from my wallet and checked the odds I had taken and how much i was due to get back. £150.00! A little while later it Argyle 2-0 Walsall. I went down to the bottom as i normally do and cheered the team off, then I ran to the betting office in town to collect my winnings!

I am sure these things happen in threes don't they? But surely a win on the lottery tonight would be too much and too greedy to ask for!

Friday April 9th

Well today has been the hottest so far this year and apparently the weather for the weekend promises to be more or less the same. Just a shame that for a good part of it, I was stuck in the Salvation Army hall moving tables and chairs so that they can seat about 150 people for a "cabaret" style concert tomorrow evening by two founder members of The Joy Strings! I would not mind but because they have the children's club there in the evening, I had to go back at 8.30pm to finish off as they needed a few tables which then had to be transferred downstairs to the main hall! Oh and I also had to collect 150 pasties from the local supermarket and transport them over to the hall.

So far so good.......!

When I returned in the evening to move the tables that were up in the young people's hall, my mum was upstairs so not at the front door to open it for me! Parents came and went and saw me standing outside, and still nobody held the door open for me. In fact most gave me strange looks. I would not mind but my eldest daughter used to go every week before the twat from crapcass did her dirty work so they must have recognised me! Ermmmm no! To make matters even worse, a woman who lives literally 2 minutes up the road from me and who has known me for about 15 years, came to the door and offered me a half eaten "Subway" sandwich and asked if it would be any use? I am aware that she is suffering from a type of dementia but to look at me and assume I was one of the local homeless people after I had shaved, had my hair cut and showered so didn't smell or look scruffy!

Eventually I got in and was able to get the final tables sorted and then walked home while mum got a lift back. Yes I could have gone in the car but I had already been insulted by the driver's wife who thought I was a homeless person and while I was moving tables and chairs on my own everyone else was standing around chatting so I thought it best to let them all go and I would have a walk around seeing as it was a lovely warm evening.

Just for the record, I used to be an active member of the Salvation Army until many years ago but have not been now for about 20 years although I did get married there and my children were all dedicated there. It's a long story and to be honest it does not retelling.

I did manage to spend some time in the sun this afternoon while walking around after finishing the first part of the setting up. My first port of call was to get myself a cup of coffee. Then I walked into the local betting office to place a bet on the horse I think will win The Grand National tomorrow. I actually have my mind set on two but as one is owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, the \manager of Manchester United, I really do not want to have him to thank for a nice win!!!! So I chose the first option which happens to be the horse I have picked from the start of the week.

I write this after the Euromillions Draw has taken place so I already know I am not a multi-millionaire. Oh well there is always the Grand National and the Lottery tomorrow!
